Looking at the handle, you notice a unique design in a cutaway pattern, this is not just for looks, it has a very functional purpose. Inspired by the precision engineering of Portland, Oregon’s famous suspension bridges. Like those time-tested iron bridges, this tool is designed to deliver the down-and-dirty performance that you demand from your tools.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Multi-tool, Bar None
I’ve owned and/or used a number of multi-tools, leathermans and gerbers of varying sizes. For me this one tops the field. 1) Most ‘ergonomic’: the medium, “stubby” size fits my hand perfectly and gives me the greatest range of flexibility with the tool. I have a job where I carry the tool open in a pliers holster. I easily draw it from, and place it in the holster without looking, usually while I’m in motion. I rarely have dropped this tool. The open spaces in the handles allow you to see which blade your looking for, in the closed position. 2) best feature: ‘stubby’ spring-loaded needlenose pliers. The pliers are of superior quality to Snap-On or Klein. The spring-loaded feature solves the biggest problem with these type of tools. The stubby size of the prongs brings you closer to the work (I pull staples out of stakes at night, in the dark, lots of them, at top speed). The wire cutter works real nice – and clean. Intelligently conceived. Invaluable. 3) LST: Tool is light in your hand – yet, all the blades are extremely durable. The knife blades, one serated, one straight are short (the actual cutting edge is 1 7/8″), and I was somewhat skeptical initially, but they are thick, tough, well-connected to the frame, drop point style and thus safer in this type of arrangement and can be used to pry effectively. They are also very sharp. The opening locking mechanism is good and simple. 4) I agree that the scissors are the weak link here. In future models they might replace it with a 4 or 2 way file. Yet, they do work in a pinch. As far as the saw goes – well, you’ve got to be desperate to use one of these on any of these type tools, but it’s sufficient. The interior blades, the drivers, bottle opener, are easily accessed from the top of the blades, and the smaller flathead can double as a sort of an awl. Truly, a handy item and ready-to-hand, which is what these tools are supposed to be.
